Evan Kelly was born in Los Angeles in 1978 but lived in the Europe until he was 11. Traveling back and forth to visit family well into adulthood, with jaunts into the other parts of the world has provided him with a rich tapestry of experience and deep understanding of people and place.
Evan received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Long Beach State University and began his professional career in interior/architectural photography in 2007, working throughout the United States and Europe. His interests in geometric abstraction lend perfectly to capturing the build environment. Inspired by artist such a Piet Mondrian, Richard Sera, and Frank Lloyd Wright, Evan uses the camera frame to both deconstruct and rebuild, to not only convey the essence of a space, but also the experience of the user.
